Cleaning too much?

I have a near-mint NO. 66 that until recently I used sparingly. Recently, I've been using it more after getting a couple of excellent shaves with it and would like to keep it in as nice of condition as possible. My problem is that I can't stand to put it away dirty, and have been giving it a quick spray with scrubbing bubbles and hot water rinse after each use (overkill, I know, I'm a little OCD) Is this too much? I'd hate to do more damage to the finish by over cleaning this. Any suggestions on maintenance? Thanks!

Try some hand soap and a toothbrush. It gets all the scum off my razors and I am sure it is more gentle than Scrubbing Bubbles.

I also do this to my #16 and it's all this rhodium razor needs, shiny as can be.

Just make sure it's a toothbrush you don't want to use again to brush your teeth.
