The only boar brush I've used is an old Surrey I've had for years. It is on it's last legs. And while I have an AOS Finest Badger, I am thinking of getting another boar to use as a change of pace. I was thinking of something like this. http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Cream-S...=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1217191877&sr=8-26

Boar and high quality are an oxymoron, it's like saying I want to buy a luxurious Yugo. Boars are bottom of the line brushes and while some are definately better than others none really measure up to a quality pure badger. I would say save your money and buy a best badger. They aren't all that expensive.
Thank you for that. Is there only 'one' C&E Best Badger? Or do you refer to a specific marque? I'm really looking for something more 'aggressive' than the pure which I currently use. Does this one fit the bill?
Also, thanks for the Floyd link. I've actually met David Gilmour in person, on two ocassions. Both under 'unusual' circumstances. But that's another story.
If you were here in the colonies, I would say go to Walmart, Walgreen's or similar (perhaps Boots in the UK) and buy a Van Der Hagen for around $5. A basic boar should be about the same anywhere.
