Today's shave was very special in more than one way. For Christmas last year, my Mother gave me the straight razor that had belonged to my great grandfather. I have had his mug and remnants of his brush for several years, so this completed the picture. I asked mycarver to restore the razor, but he also worked his magic on the brush. I have no idea what kind of soap or aftershave he used, but I made choices that he could have used. He died in 1938, but these products had been around for some time by then.
