Tequila and lime?

Ok maybe a dumb question but I'm all out of triple sec so I was wondering how tequila and lime would be?

or is there a substitute for triple sec that I'm not thinking of? Maybe orange juice?

Instead of Triple Sec, use more tequila.

It really depends on the Tequila. I drink some of the fine ones (Herradura Ultra, Don Julio 1942 are my favorites) neat.

I ended up using simple syrup

Instead of the classic 3-2-1 I did 3-1-1 turned out pretty good!

That was going to be my suggestion. Glad it worked out for you.

Glad to hear it worked out. Obviously the nicer the tequila the less you need to mix in to have an acceptable drink

I often drink tequila, fresh lime and soda water.. one of my favorites

I need to get myself some nice tequila to try it again, I haven't touched the stuff in 7 years.

Try agave nectar. It works out very well.
