We celebrate different holidays with shaves best representing what the day means to us. Today is an American tradition, the transfer of power, a new beginning. No political rants, it should not matter what side of the aisle you fall on, today will go down in history, just like every inauguration does.

Mine:
1. Glycerin soap pre-shave face wash.
2. Whip up C. O. Bigelow lather in my Georgetown Pottery 20 scuttle.
3. 2-pass shave using Merkur 1904 razor and Astra Sp blade.
4. Witch Hazel face clean up and buff 'high spots'.
5. English Leather A/S and another buff of 'high spots'.
6, Clean up
7. Watch some of the inauguration and hit my chore list.

All American, baby, here in the land of the All American 82nd airborne division - who kept waking me up last night with their C130s flying 900 feet above the farm. But, that is not a complaint. If they aren't sleeping, I am happy to join them.

Besides, I get to roll over and go back to sleep between waves. They have to jump out of perfectly good airplanes - in the dark. My only issue is that when they do that, I get this song stuck in my head all the next day!
