Default Best Cream or Soap for Sensitive Skin

Hi folks. I tend to have pretty sensitive skin; a change in cream can lead to ingrown hairs and bumps quickly. I use Trumpers Rose Crea, almost exclusively and sometimes use AOS Unscented Cream.

Keeping in mind mu sensitivity, what do you guy recommend for a change of pace?

Try Kiss My Face products available at your local Stop and Shop. All of their shaving creams are very moisturing and great for sensitive skin.

You really should try the Hydrolast products. Charles Roberts at Enchante has developed a line of shaving pastes that are free from the petrochemicals (particularly parabins) found in most shaving creams and soaps. My skin was very sensitive from radiation therapy that occured years ago. The Hydrolast products have completely turned my skin around and result in consistently perfect (yes, I really mean "perfect") shaves.

I've tried a lot of stuff,

Speick seems to be just about the least irritating I've encountered.

I use Crabtree & Evelyn shave creams and they are very mild.

there's always a pure glycerin soap, like em's unscented or even conk.

AOS unscented and taylor hypoallergenic are also worth investigating...

Van Der Hagen makes a hypoallergenic shave soap. It's white and you can get it at Rite Aid for about $2. A fine soap and a great bargain. The Deluxe shave soap (pink) from Van Der Hagen is just as good and is available lots of places (WalMart, Longs, Walgreens, etc.).

I also agree with the Kiss My Face suggestion. Nice stuff, and available at lots of places, like Whole Foods.

I have slightly sensitive skin and I have had a bit of a reaction with Conk Lime, Amber and Bay Rum. Their Almond, however, is fantastic--highly recommended: great soap and no irritation at all (YMMV, obviously).

+1 on the Van Der Hagen. Glycerin (yellow) or Deluxe (pink). Both are mild and work great.

T&H ultimate works well with sensitive skin. Taylor's Avocado is also a favorite(no it does not smell like guacamole). T&H Luxury Shaving soap works great also.

    Default no easy answer

As someone with really sensitive skin, I think you just have to try a bunch of creams until you figure out what works best for you. I fnd that with sensitive skin, what works for one person may not work for another. I'm sure you do this already, but make sure that your facial cleanser and after-shave product also agree with your sensitive skin.
