Segal Razor

I have a beautifull Segal razor and a couple of unopenned packs of original Segal blades. Can these blades be sharpenned using a Tam O'Shanter,or similar type hone,or are they well past their used by date?

Only way to find out is to try them I suppose. I've had luck with refreshing modern blades using a Twinplex blade stropper gizmo.

I've also been lucky enough to be able to participate in the old blade test thread, I've been using an antique Gillette Thin blade with surprisingly good results.

Off topic: Twinplex is still in business by the way, twinplex.com. Go to their history tab under "about us" for pictures of the old factory. They no longer make the stropper though.
