Gillette Debutant?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what the Gillette Debutant is. Saw a picture of one and it looked like a vintage three piece open comb razor.

Know nothing about it and wondered if anyone who be kind enough to enlighten me, any information would be great.

Any idea what it compares to and how aggressive it is. E.g: is it between a DE89 and a R41. If so is it as efficient and as smooth as a Parker 26c? Does it compare to a Fatip Piccolo?

Less aggressive than a Piccolo, more aggressive than a DE89, my favorite razor!

Here's one that I picked up recently.
Shaves like every other old style. It's the case that sets it apart.

Some say that this set sometimes came with a New. The New would be less aggressive than the old type.

Yes, it did look like the one in the photo but just the razor. It was also heavily tarnished.

I assumed it was a razor aimed at ladies due to the name bit wasn't sure as you never can tell sometimes.
