I am liking the AS more so than the soap. The soap reminded me immediately of Pre de Provence 63 but less sweet. The AS i got slightly burnt ginger snap from which i really like.

17th OCtober Shave

Felt like a Barbershop Scent kind of day. Maggards London Barbershop is a fantastic scent. I think I need to order a full size tub. Just taking a snurdle out the size of your thumbnail made up all that lather.... fantastic. Enough for two shaves. Performance is great and the RazoRock American Barbershop just fit right in.... good shave!!

Vulfix Badger
TOBS Coconut Cream
Skin Bracer AS

Ah, retrieved this blade that I had set aside for awhile.
Will keep using it as it seems to have some life left in it,
It was a little rough for today's shave but still plenty sharp.
I have carefully stropped it and moved it to the Slim Adjustable set on high,
Next shave with it should be a good one.
Probably will use the Proraso Sandalwood Cream for that shave!

John H.

PS: These Perma Sharp Supers are fine blades!

So I am behind but had a humbling shave. Had my first ever shave with my Grandfather's Gillette Knack, bluehandled 1969 model. He passed away in 2013 and I've been holding the razor and working.y nerve for about a year, but used it Sunday night to shave my head with a third cut Feather, Williams and Cremo Cooling superlathered and Nivea sensitive skin after balm. Shave Secret Pre as always I didn't enjoy the handle length when shaving the back but managed a borderline BBS. Back to my Super Speeds now. Figure a good transition to my 51 black tip

The start of the week has been perfect. Photos and posts keep the standards high at SOTD.

Thanks, gentlemen, for glorious photographs and interesting verbal depictions.

@skypsyd - Beautiful photo, Dave. Brush and razor complement each other. Love that Avon a/s!
@DblD - Handsome arrangement. Bakelite is snazzy.
@ram57 - Very attractive. Striking scuttle. Excellent vignetting as the frame. How was the ONEBLADE?
@alfredus - I've invented a name for your school of beauties: Shavius Giganticus.
@Brewster - Like the compressed look of the photo. Nice framing.
@Cash_Stronomer - Impressive! The deep blacks and various tones of white are stunning. The soap name is like neon. Nice touch with the open razor.
@ClaudioBP - Nicely done. Fine looking G-Bar.
@UngerWoo - That's what I call a closeup! I think you like the Rx.
@Sdm84 - Superb presentation, Owen. Exceptional use of color.
@eezee - A lot of shave love in that picture! Great Nautica bottle.
@Rusty Blade - Lovely overhead shot.
@mcdig - Great POV of a captivating shave, Mark.
@Bobcat - An excellent autumn shave, Bob. I just won a tuck of Wilkinsons LBs; looking forward to trying them out.
@Claredh123 - That is some fine looking lather.
@blzrfn - Love glimpses of your cache. How was the shave with the Monobloc?
@shm - Superlative, Søren. Nicely proportioned. Really like the Vie-Long.
@LoungeLizard - Perfect angle for the shot, Larry.
@blexa - Fetching photo. Like the fan shaped knot.
@caus24 - Quite an enviable shave.
@samlark - Is the replica still shaving well, Sammy? I need to use mine again soon.
@azwetshaver - Good portrait of your shave, Gabe.
@imcndn - How does the Shavecraft perform? I've used other iKons but not the Shavecraft.
@ram57 - Nicely manipulated. Hope you like the Thomas Tews as much as I do. Love that irregular framing.
@Clint64 - Very nice milieu with a fine mix of color. Do you like the Dragon's Blood?
@richardjl41 - Like the lineup, Richard. Looks like a good CaD shave.
@Hanover - Great shadowy photo, Mark. Wonderful array. Maybe the Smolder soap will grow on you. I've not used PdP 63 but will be ordering soon.
@Rxdude - Excellent perspective shot. Fine arrangement.
@nikonNUT - Two days in a row ... that's a good sign for Hallows. I received mine today. Perhaps I'll use it tomorrow.
@Quink - That lather is hard to beat, JC. I think the razor has attached itself to your hand.
@sandstone - Marvelous pic, Phil. I'm green with envy!
@Noire - An exceptional photo ... lovely seasonal textures and color, especially the fragile petals.
@TheKushFather - Another WOW shave ... what elements!
@joe2k1 - Very nice layout for the shot. Fine looking photo, by the way.
@CT23 - Heavenly shot, Chris! Lovely lighting ... caught just right.
@nikonNUT - From Spookiness to Decadence ... what more could you ask from a soap maker (since the performance is excellent)? What a stunning razor!
@120inna55 - Excellent photos, Matt. The Black Mamba and the BSB-Ti go so well with Hallows.

Hope your Monday was well and everyone is looking forward to a fine week.

Have a good rest of your evening, gents, and I'll be seeing you.
