About the VL goods, I like them A LOT from first impressions and my first shave. I really like that Catie's Bubbles, but the green orange is starting to smell less like a fresh, clean scent to me than an actual cleaner odour. I was walking through a restaurant today and one of the bussers was wiping down tables with a cleaner that smelled just like it. I knew there must've been a reason it was on clearance. For clarity's sake, I've got no negative remark and like its performance, the scent is souring on me.

Also, I think it's hard to go wrong with any artisanal soaps unless it contains some specific ingredient to which you may be allergic, especially when it's north of 3 $/oz. and these are reeeeaaalllly nicely presented. Give a few samples a go for a week or two each, you may be pleasantly surprised. I jumped in both feet when I ordered these, no ragerts.

Ron-I like both. The NEW SC is my best shaving razor. I wish the Oud Absolute came in an aftershave too...........

Route 66 Bourbon Jungle today. 20 seconds to load the JB Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna Med Prep in the NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with RR Tuscan Oud aftershave.

Awesome scent and really leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. Applied at the very end of the shave after the AS had dried off.
