DFS from the R41 with a voskhod blade this morning. I'm playing around with my prep and had a shower after my shave for the first time all year. Will continue the prep experiment tomorrow

I took a bit more time today with the Old and got a BBS. It takes more passes than my 1930s TTOs, but I got a nice smooth shave with no leaks.

Pretty good shave, for a relaxed-fit Friday. Missed a spot on my jawline. Otherwise, a close shave. More comfortable than yesterday's shave with the same razor.

Wow these two razors are close. The first pass on each side for both had just a bit of tugging. This is something I do experience with the first use of a Voskhod.
By the second pass things had smoothed out. Since I am more familiar with the Piccolo I gave it my off hand side.
Balance - equal (different, but in both cases I forget the razor is there and find the proper shaving angle easily)
Perceived Smoothness of cutting - equal and in both cases better after the first pass.
Post Shave Closeness Check - R103 by a hair
So for the modern category the standings currently still have the R103 ahead of the runner up Piccolo by a hair.
I will do this again tomorrow switching sides to see if things change.

Nice shave. Love the Castle Forbes, I just need to learn the use less of it. Man, it is concentrated. This should be my last SE shave. I've got a bunch of News for next week.
