So picky...
Welcome back, Lots of guys jump in and out of OCtober. No real hard rules, just to try to use OCs and have fun.OCtober 24th (22nd Shave)
If I may... finally got some different OC razors... This one I found at the flea market yesterday. Cleaned up well and has some nice brassing coming through. What I wasn't ready for is how much you feel the blade. Haven't used my SE's in a while. Need some practice on this one. Good but a little rough shave (need to find the angle).
Razor: Ever-Ready OC
Blade: Ted Pella PTFE (6)
Brush: Stirling 26mm Finest Badger
Soap: Stirling Gentlemen
AS: Witchhazel / SkinBracer / Balea ASB
If anybody could help getting more information on this razor... I'd really appreciate it. It says on the rear side: Patented March 24/14 Made in USA and inside: American Safety Razor Co. Inc. New York.
Hope I can just jump in again
Yep it's a 1914 alright. It's my favorite of the "more aggressive SEs" Give it a few more goes and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. As far as aggression I think it is just a step above the 1912 if you think of the 1912 as an OLD type the 14 is like a Fatip Piccolo. It's a '14, fairly aggressive razor they say, I wouldn't know, mine is still broken!
Hi,
I have a new-to-me OC! An Evans!
I was up at my Mom's cleaning her place out and found this in an old suitcase:
