I brought out the Old Type, loaded a fresh Personna Red. Used the WSP Black Amber Vanille with a lather made with a Semogue 620.

My shaves last week were a little on the rough side. I had to give my neck a break, so I didn't shave yesterday.

Tried lots of new blades recently. I like the Gillette 7O'Clock Greens (thanks for those [MENTION=94467]Highspeedlane[/MENTION]!), Gillette Nacets, and Ladas. I found the 7O'Clock Yellows, 7O'Clock Blacks, and the Gillette Platinums to be too rough. However, the Platinums had potential (my neck might have been reacting to too many blade changes), so I might need to revisit those soon.

Still enjoying the shaves. I am probably going to forego using my single edge OC razors, except for a possible SE-Sunday next weekend. I think it might be better for my face to stick with my Fatip Piccolo for a while.

That looks like a VB1. I've never tried one, but I hear they are very aggressive. Would you agree?

Shave 19, head and throat:

Gillette New short comb, Personna blue (2), Fuller, Stirling Scots Pine Sheep, Mennen Skin Bracer.



Not a great shave. Must be a dud blade since I've had great shaves from this razor.

I don't think it's very aggressive compared to other razors I've used. It's certainly a lot less aggressive than a Micromatic.

Got a nice shave with the SC. Usually I like the LC better, but today's shave was very nice.
