Hi Folks!
I recently acquired a beautiful vintage leather jacket. Despite it's age (1940s!), most of the jacket is in fantastic condition and it fits like a glove. The leather is thick, soft, well conditioned. However, there is one area on the back of the shoulders (the yoke?) where the leather is very thin, cracked, and ripping. I want to get it repaired, and think I a great leather craftsman could either patch it, or even replace that yoke panel with a close to matching piece of leather. Does anyone know of a great leather repair place in NYC that specializes in vintage garments? I don't want to rely on a google search or blind luck, as this is a very rare item. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
