The same way you say potato...
I was taught that tomato(e) ends with an e. Every boss I have ever had disagreed with my choice of spelling. And I have put it on thousands of menus!!

thanks, I was hoping someone would get that in there! One that does bug me is my brother has lived on the East Coast for about 20 years now (after growing up with me in the mid-midwest). Out there he says "salza" with a z sound for the second s. 'Round these parts we say "salsa"
