Blade Trial Suggestions

I'm nearing the end of my 1st DE Blade trial. I ordered a trial pack and added a few more that I saw recommend here when I first started. I was wondering if there are any more that you recommend I should test?

I've used or will use in the next 3 weeks the following blades:

7AM Plus Hi Platinum Durablade
Astra Superior Platinum
Astra Superior Stainless
Crystal
Derby Extra
Dorco Platinum ST300
Dorco Prime Platinum
Dorco ST301 Platinum
Feather New Hi-Stainless
Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (Yellow)
Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless (Green)
Gillette Platinum
Gillette Silver Blue
Personna Med Prep / Lab Blue
Personna Platinum (Israeli Red)
Rapira Super Stainless
Shark Super Chrome
Shark Super Super Stainless
Voskhod Teflon Coated
Wilkinson Sword Classic

-Polsilver SI.
-Lord Super Stainless (blue & white wrapper) and Racer Super Stainless. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I suspect these two may be the same blade in a different wrapper. Both work great for me.
-Gillette 7 O'Clock black (India).
-The Gillette Stainless work great, but they may be more expensive/more difficult to find in bulk than the GSB. (So it may be best to just stick with the GSB.)

I'll second the Bic Chrome Platinum and the Zaza SS. I add Perma-Sharp.

My top 2 blades are on that list. It took me a couple months to narrow it down to those 2. The rest of them I gave away.

As you can see, the possibilities are virtually endless.

IMO you have plenty of blades to try! Remember that it may take a few blades to figure out how to get the most from a particular brand.

Your list looks pretty comprehensive. We are fortunate in that there are so many good blades available these days, and the one's I have the most success with are the Russians. Lately my #1 go-to is the Gillette 7 o'clock Super Stainless.

+1 on the Bic Chrome Platinum. I tried one for the first time this morning and it was great - sharp and really smooth. They work much better for me than the Bic Astor.

Gillette 7 o'clock Black.

You can test these. Some member really like these.

But I'm not crazy about them.

these are my top blades. imho the perma sharp are smoother but both blades on the higher scale of sharpness

@BigJ I've been testing these blades for a while now. I'm nearing the end only have 2 left and was just wondering if there were any popular ones that I had missed.

I've given each blade at least 5 or six shaves. I've only used my EJ DEL8914BL razor. The only thing I have changed is rotation of brushes (4 oops now 5) and rotation of cream Proraso Red, Blue, and TOBS Cedarwood.

Sounds like you are doing just fine.

My current top 5 include several on your list: GSB, Personna reds, Personna labs, German Wilkinson swords, Astra SP!
