R41 vs. R41 Twist

Is there any difference between these two razors other than one is a 3-piece and the other is a two-piece? Are the heads on both razors identical?

I'm really tempted to pick up the R41 Twist ... love the fact that it's now available as a two-piece!

I'm a big fan of the R41. Even bought the Rosegold version, with a beautiful handle that I never use ... I prefer the R41 head on a stainless steel handle, which is why I was never interested in their 2-piece version.

Hmm. On second thought, maybe sticking to the 2013 three-piece variant would be a better choice if I ever want to swap handles. And then yet again, the R41T has a larger and heavier handle which gives it an edge in the balance department. Guess it's hard to go wrong either way.

Or... You could just buy the head and couple it with a heftier handle. The R41 is one of my top three or four razors, and I've got dozens.

Fellow Seattleite .

Just pulled the trigger on the R41 "standard" (2013 three-piece). This is the model that I tried last Summer and I liked it. Beautiful craftsmanship, and as long you're really careful with it, provides a great close shave!

The handle on the Twist is a much larger diameter than the regular 3 piece version.

I think the twist handle, which is the Grande in terms of size, makes the D89 and R41 better razors. Seems to be more control, feel and overall performance. Just my thoughts.
