I spend a lot of time outdoors, often away from the city and out in the boonies.
I always carry a SAK Champion, a compass and I wear a chronograph. I usually wear a Camelbak or carry plenty water in a bag. I also carry a small first aid kit, a space blanket, a lighter, matches, a signal mirror, and a flashlight. On hikes I carry also leather gloves, 30 feet of 1,000 lbs rope, if allowed, a fixed blade knife and a Beretta P4 Storm and and two extra magazines, or at least a slingshot and ammo. And snacks.
