WTB Decant Vintage Tabarome

My decant of Vintage Tabarome is running a bit low and I would like to get another 20 ml or so. Creed only sells a 200 ml flacon - too much juice and too many $ to tie up for my likely consumption rate. Ideally I'd like to just buy a decant. If this doesn't work, I would consider doing a 4 or 5 way split of a flacon if there is sufficient interest. Please pm me if if you have any interest or can offer a decant. Many thanks.

Count me in! I did see it on perfume court, but I would much prefer to do things on the forum.

If anyone is selling decants I am also very interested, as Mr. Churchill liked it, I am sure I will like it.

great cologne! the private collection flacons are 250ml. scentiments has a pretty good price and you can find coupons also.

i would get in on this but i bought a partial flacon with about 3oz left a while back. :D

Thanks for the feedback. Perfumed Court has small decants but they are v. expensive on a per ml basis. I am considering buying the flacon from Scentiments - it lists for $235 + shipping, I'll call them later and confirm that it is the "real" Vintage Tabarome and not the Milliseme version since it is not completely clear form the site. If I go this route, I would like to do a 4 or 5 way split at cost - this would work out to about $55-65 per person depending on if it is 4 or 5 and how much shipping is.

If this goes ahead, I would need to find suitable decant bottles (spray or open top - any preferences??) and move on from there. There seems to be enough interest to make it worth pursuing, I'll post later what the operations would be.

Well while I was doing some background, a member kindly offered to sell me a 1oz decant so I have accepted. Sorry to have raised hopes of a split, but this is a better route for me at the moment.

Hi guys, the member who sold the decant to Rick was me. I was explaining to him, I waited almost a year for a flacon to become available and I finally got lucky last year. That being said, I'd probably only want to depart with maybe 2 "1/4" (7.5 ml) Oz decants (The stuff is that good in my opinion). If anyone is interested in trying I would ship CONUS for $13.50. I also have a large flacon of Creed Cuir de Russie which I would be willing to sell more of than the Vintage Tabarome. I am a basenotes member where decant sales are forbidden, but now that I'm over 50 posts perhaps I'll soon list some available for sale. I have 168 bottles so I have quite a selection. I don't however have any shaving company colognes per se (Trumper, Truefitt and Hill etc) so maybe there wouldn't be much interest anyway.

P.S. I would never recommend someone buying a large quantity of something blind. Some are very unique and can be quite polarizing. Vintage Tabarome for instance is usually either loved or despised. To me it takes you back to a Victorian time in a smoke filled room filled with gentlemen in 3 piece suits. It screams Power and Masculinity.

Thanks again Mark. My guess is that you will get a considerable interest if you are offering various decants - I agree that blind buys of high end colognes are a bit risky - much better to get enough to try them out in a variety of situations and take the plunge later.

I agree with trying before buying. I only recently heard about this "decant" concept so it is the perfect way to jump into things and get a decent sized sample, sometimes 1ml isn't quite enough as I don't just want to smell it, I want to use it.
