First attempt at restoration

I'm kinda happy of the outcome of this first restoration. Rescued from the bay this Ern&Co Damokles, which was in TERRIBLE shape.
Gave it a 15 min bath with Dawn+water, Scrubbing Bubbles treatment, polished with White Diamond and 0000 steel wool, sanded starting with 120/180/220/320/400/600/800/1000/1500 grits progression, then Micro-Mash 1800/2400/3200/3600/4000/6000/8000/12000. Polished again. Honed with lapping film (12, 9, 5, 3, 1 microns).
Couldn't get rid of 100% of the pitting, but did not go crazy since it's far from the edge.
By the way, anyone ever seen this razor? I've heard of Ern&Co's, but the scales on this one are very unusual.
Cheers!

Nice job! Love the scales and the shape of the blade. Just don't hang it over your head and you're good! =D

And it shaves! That looks like a good job. Good luck now you will be too busy doing more restorations . It feels good to bring them back to life.

Even though I have used a straight razor for a long time I cannot get the scales off without breaking them. The blades turn out well; but, I always end up making new scales.
