Mastro Livi Damasteel Ladder, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point
I admit I like Damasteel. Not only for its mesmerizing patterns but also for its keenness ability to shave. Although it is true it is somewhat aggressive on your skin, this steel is however impeccable in giving a close and smooth shave. This Mastro Livi Damasteel straight razor is enchanting for the ladder pattern used for the blade, not to mention the charm of amaranth buckeye burl used for the scales. Simply beautiful. Today's shave has also been the chance to try this Omega S-Brush, a super cheap synthetic brush however delivering a very good performance. If we consider the very cheap price, you can't be wrong in getting one of these Italian synthetic brushes.

  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: Weleda Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Omega S-Brush S10108 Blue, 27mm knot
  • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Medium Loom Strop "Coramella Italiana" and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Damasteel Ladder, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: Geo F. Trumper West Indian Cologne

Thanks Celestino

Sunday Shave.
I tried my new Gillette Slim Adjustable Aristocrat for the first time this morning. Loaded with an Astra SP and aided by a wonderful Tabac lather, it mowed through two days growth like a hot knife through butter leaving me BBS and AGAIG. I will have to compare it with an ordinary slim to see if there is a difference in razors. Finished with Tabac cologne and I am ready for the day. Have a blessed day everyone and give a hug to your kids and because we beverages know when they will be taken from us.

Fantastic post and photos Gents

Thank you So much Dave, it is definitely a momentous occasion having been here for an entire year and having had such amazing guidance as you all have given me to experience the shaves I do now vs the ones I had when I first started on this path:thumbup:

My SOTD!
Prep: Hot Water
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Soap: Proraso Sensitive
Brush: Razorock Blondie
Aftershave: Gillette Cool Wave
Balm: Proraso Sensitive
Epic shave! Got BBS! So these Gillette Silver Blues work amazing in the Fatip! Now going to test this blade in my Super speed and my Gillette Tech. The Fatip took care of a 3 day stubble without a problem. Everything performed excellent! Have a good day/night!
