Playing around with product shots on a budget

Strictly not true, as I've a large investment in lighting gear, but in reality, much of it isn't needed.

The set up:

Watch, 99p and £1.99 from Ebay China.
Rock, found in the street.
Water, from tap or faucet.
Tray/biscuit tin.

Lighting was indeed my Rotolight RL48, but I could have achieved the same result with either my pound buy led lantern, or a desk lamp with flexible neck.

Good stuff, Carl!
I need to improve my product shots for Ebay, the ones I take are pretty good but top quality pics do help with sales I find

Warren, I had a gal from work asking if she could recreate my mini shot with an iPhone. I told her to take it up the Roaches here for a backdrop and get down low, with an overcast sky - should make a nice shot for selling her car. I've a softbox, though rarely use it unless I'm popping on multiple flashes.

Thanks BSA!
