Hair brush recommendations, please.

I am looking for a good quality, boar bristle, hair brush.
I have thick, dry, curly, medium length hair.
Something to spread the oils around. Needs to be stiff enough actually reach the scalp.
I've looked at Kent brushes. Would prefer something a bit less pricey.
Can anyone help?

Bass makes boar bristle brushes that seem to have a somewhat loyal following (disclaimer- I have two Kent's and I think they were pricey but also worth it- One is about 26 years old and still looks great). I saw a Bass brush with boar bristles on sale at a place online- I'm kind of new here and don't know if I can post links but it's a store- in Vermont- in the country- Seriously, there is a thread on the store here:
