Anyone marketing a razor that takes a standard Gem style SE blade would have a marketing problem, as most of the general public now associates these blades with paint scrapers and box cutters. In addition, some people would undoubtedly try to shave with box cutter blades and then blame the razor for the resulting unsatisfactory shave.

All that being said, I too would like to see a modern SE that took standard Gem style blades - but I'm not holding my breath.
