Glycerin Soaps

Never tried one, want to...

Are there any of the smaller makers that make Glycerin or are they all big companies. Do not remember the two words I'm searching for there like Caties Bubbles Vs. Proraso type makers..


Anyway top Glycerin soaps please.

Mama Bears is pretty popular ... Like the ones I have.

I get some fine glycerin bars from Rosner Soaps in NY.

He is a small artisan and has a good variety of offerings.
He doesn't designate them as shaving soap but I find them just right producing a good lather.
He is on the net.

That's the one for me.

I bought two bars of the Mama Bear. A new scent. Forgot what it's called though. Supposed to smell like a gentlemans club.

VDH is also a glycerin soap and readily available in many US stores.

Mama Bear is an excellent example - I always get a nice shave with Mama Bear. Whiskey Cream is my favorite scent.

Honeybee spa makes excellent glycerin soap. Great price, too. Especially if you get the six pack.

Professor blightly's and soapy bathman are also two great glycerin soaps.

Another vote for mama bears, I used to 100% belive that glycerine based soaps where inferior by a huge margin until I tried mama bears, don't get me wrong..tallow is better in my opinion but these are good too. My only gripe is that some glycerine soaps load up on essential oils to a point where you can get a skin reaction from it, never had it from a tallow based soap.

Kell's is a good glycerine soap, not too pricey either.

The only glycerine soaps I still use are those by Straight Razor Designs, but they are a bit pricey.

Lea from Spain is a good quality shaving stick made from Lanolin and Glycerin, it has a clean, masculine "soapy" scent and lathers like a dream
