    Default Blade Buffing Anyone?

I just decided to try blade buffing not more than 2 minutes ago. And I must say, damn it was fantastic! I used Kyle's description of the process he posted quite some time ago. I was always a little hesitant, but tonite I took the plunge and it was well worth it! I suggest to those who havn't tried this technique to do so post haste.

    Gonna try that tomorrow!

For those interested, I've dug up the post he refers to.

I've been using Kyle's second method for my lower neck for quite a while now. It works great and I don't get nearly as much irritation as regular strokes. I think it helps get the hair off the skin. The hair on your neck typically grows parralel to the skin.

Nice. I didn't know there was a name for that either. I have a deep cleft in my chin, and have found that using very short, scribbly strokes in that area takes care of it. I'm still newbie enough to have trouble with the whole process, but this is one area which I have gotten worked out pretty well. My frontal chin has never been this stubble-free.

My neck and under my chin, now that's another matter.

I don't know if it applies to buffing in general, but due to the crazy contours in this area, I also hit many different angles with my scribble, and generally only need to do 1 or 2 passes in there, all with and slightly angled with the grain, to get it BBS.

I moved it to the Shave Clinic for greater exposure.
