H Boker restore, marriage of plastic and mystery wood

Several months back while weekend yard sale hunting, I found a very unhappy tree Boker that was missing some love.
Brought it home to sand, polish and rescale. Two weeks later at another yard sale, found several pieces of 0.050 Lexan
and some exotic wood veneer. While driving home, came up with the idea of gluing the Venere to the Lexan to make replacement scales. Used contact cement to join and they have a CA finish. White acrylic for the wedge and nickle silver
for the pins was the finishing touch.
I have no idea what type of wood the veneer is from.
