Yes ... good to go ... carry on.
The baseplate on the Keen Kutter hasn't got the Knubs that the Christy has to seat the blade..You would need to make a spacer behind the blade to Seat it..It can be done buts its a Fiddly One..

Nah, you just put the blade edge where you want it, slide the base plate in and it holds squeezed by the top cap.
Christy has nubs, though ...
