Smile Soaps And Creams From Around The Globe!

    Hello there!

I've been browsing this site, looking at all the wonderfull soaps and creams that can be found around the globe. The Review section is great
Italy has been of particular interest as I am going there for the F1 race this year

I wonder if it would be a good idea to have members list soaps and creams by country of origin? Or perhaps add country to the search engine? Would it even be technicaly feasible on a forum??

To be able to choose a country and find out what goodies await you...

I know that quite a few products are available worldwide, in different packaging, via the web, etc. etc
I still feel it would be interesting to be able to browse through various countries and their slippery stuff from the comfort of Your home

    Let's se then!
Sweden. Eerhhh? None that i can think of

    What sayeth Ye?

Ps! "Around the World " This is the thread that finally made me put finger(s) to keypad.

Three (4 with this) posts yet but without any list

I'd say it's easier to do this task in the wiki isn't it?

Yeah, countries could easily be added as categories to the brand pages.

This would definitely be a GREAT addition to the Wiki section!

We could start by listing products by country and possibly expand it to include possible sources for those products.

The Australian list would be very short indeed.

This would be a great idea as there is a French shave cream called Cible or something that looks/sounds like that. I've tried to locate it but can't find it anywhere on the net.

There are too many quality creams/soaps to try in ones Wetshaving career. We really should allow diversity to add to our palette's we call our rotations.

Haha, I hate to quote my own post here but I actually did wind up finding the Cible shave cream.

    I found one:

    Victoria Lemon Soap

Made in Sweden, this high quality soap lathers beautifully and has very natural and crisp lemon scent. The Victoria lemon soap creates a rich and protective lather. Formulated as a dual purpose soap: for shaving or as a face soap. It contains coconut oil, glycerin and lemon and citronella scents. It's the ideal travel, boating or camping soap: it floats and it will even lather when used with saltwater. 100g

Hey, we have at least two. There the tube of car-polish-smelling stuff from David Jones (I think that's made in Australia) and the khaki-coloured soap from Pure Sensations (the one that was originally for Gentiles ). I haven't posted a review yet as I've only used it once.

    Cheers

I don't know what to say really

And there's some soap called Windsor. None of the brands have pages on the wiki though.

Anyway, I've made a start of putting in country data on the brand pages. So now from the wiki's Brands category page you can now click your way to the Brands by Country category. It's not done, but there's a start.
