    Default Vulfix creams

    Hi

A "Ye-Olde-English" style shop here, Woodleaf and Furn. (sic), is closing down and selling Vulfix creams 30% off. Sicilian Limes, Lavender took my eye. Seems pricey to start with, but are these worth getting for the stockpile?
    Anyone tried these Vulfix creams?

It's also the local C&E and the 30% applies to those products and DR Harris. I already picked up some Arlington goodies. Stocks are beginning to dwindle. Prices were quite high to start with, but the discount is decent.

I tried the lavender. It lathered OK and gave a decent shave. The scent is nothing like lavender EO creams - more a phenolic, soapy smell with a very faint hint of lavender buried somewhere in there. Since I only had a sample, I ca't comment on the packaging.

I have the sicilian lime and enjoy it, also has a soapy lime scent but lathers exceptionally well for me. It's not my "go to" but I definetely use it.

I have a sample of the sandalwood. It seems like a good cream, although the sandalwood smells more like gingerbread.
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.

I agree with you that the sandalwood smells more like spice cookies than sandalwood. That said, it's my favorite 'sandalwood' and gives a terrific shave. I will always have it in my rotation.

I have a tub of the lavender and kind of like it. I'm really not all that sure what lavender is supposed to smell like but to me this has a pleasant scent and I've enjoyed using it. I don't have any other lavender creams for comparison. All I can say is that I had no problem making a nice lather with it and I have gotten some very good shaves with it. If the price is right its worth a try. I don't know about the other scents

I've used both Sandelwood and Sicilian Limes. They both make a good lather, though the Sandelwood smells more like cinnamon....

Although I have never tried the Sicilian Lime, I have nothing but good reviews about it on this site. I think it may be the pick of the bunch.

I have tried the sicilian lime and the lavender and both perform OK but smell nothing like either lime or lavender. Very synthetic smelling to me. I want QED lime smell not whatever in the hell in the vulfix.

I just opened up a tub of the Persian Musk and was actually pretty surprised with it. I had the Sandalwood one before and it was very runny and goopy texture, although it did shave well. This Musk seems more dense like a "normal" shaving cream and gave a great lather and shave. For half the price of the 3T's, it's worth a shot!

I got me some Sandalwood yesterday, and tried it out this morning, IMO a beter smell than trumpers (Have a sampler of it) and one plunge and twirl with my brush gave me enough lather for about 6 passes, maybe 7, I'm impressed, and went well with the Sandalwood Skin food I popped on afterwards.

I've been thinking of getting the Persian Musk. What does it smell like?

Hard to describe. It's kind of heavy I think. But man, I love it !

I really like the Vulfix creams, I got the sicillian lime yesterday and it smells really good. They lather up very easy and I always get a good shave with it.

But as always: ymmv. I read about someone who thought Vulfix smelled chemical, like a paintstore
