Skipped shaving yesterday, so saved the second of the Superbowl sets for today!
While Mr. Manning's defense won the day, he can still claim a lot of credit!
Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade - Rapira Swedish Supersteel (#2)
Brush - Vie-Long 04312 Cachurro Horse
Soap - Erasmic (vintage stick)
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
Result - BBS
Lovely tallowy goodness from an old Erasmic stick tonight. It's been a long time since I used this soap. I'm not a face latherer so I grated a little into the bowl. The scent won't exactly sent the world on fire but great performance. A great shame they still don't make this. It's a little drier than I like afterwards but all is good.
I managed to remove the XTG and knock it down to two passes, WTG and ATG.

The Merkur was the first safety razor I bought when I re-entered the wet shaving pool, after a 50-year plus absence, in early December. I've used it a bit since but prefer the size and weight of the 34C, which I bought a couple of weeks later. The Sharp blade I hated when I first tried it but now it does a fine job. The Evolution is a great brush and whips up a hell of a lather and is great on the face. All in all, this morning's shave was damn fine.
