Van der Hagen Deluxe smells like soap and lathers up nicely. Plus you can kill a puck in about a month and they only cost a few bucks.

VDH Deluxe is actually scented like Grey Flannel. I don't find it to be soapy smelling at all. Soapy, I love..... the smell of VDH Deluxe, I dislike very much.

Food for thought!
Arko smells a lot like Ivory soap to me. You might want to try the Barbershop soaps offered by most soapmakers. Many have what I'd call a soapy aroma.
