I put water maybe an 1/4" over my Mitchell's wool fat puck. got called into work. long story short the puck was left to drown for three day's. I poured off the water along with a "slimey" substance. my question is did I take the fat out of the wool fat? and should I throw out the puck?

I don't think so. The slimey substance was probably dissolved soap.

i just finished whipping up a test lather and it seems fine to me, thick and slick ...it's alive !!!!
The oils and fats are saponified. Can't be seperate. If it is supper fatted, which it likely is, you will get some oil/fat, but mostly soap slime.

i've always gotten a great shaves from the wool fat. can hardly wait for the morning shave. i think this puck is going to last forever,even with the abuse, it's over six months now and not even a quarter of the way done...amazing !
Unless something was growing in the "slime", you had nothing to fear.
As long as it still works your golden.
