Just finished a very enjoyable Whitechapel Porter (in preparation for dinner). This is an Asda (UK's Wal-Mart) special from the Shepherd Neame brewery.



I'm in a really great frame of mind for dinner, and beyond.

Just picked up a couple cases. Not sure how I feel about the can only release this year, but it still tastes great!

I had a Sam Adams Cold Snap last night. Not a fan of that style, apparently.

Founders Porter. Love this stuff...

I had a Sam Adams Session Ale last night. It's an ESB, and was quite tasty.

This is what happens when I don't accompany my wife to the store.

Founders Imperial Stout 10.5% ABV from Grand Rapids, Michigan
Buried Hatchet Stout 8.5% ABV from Conroe, Texas

Both of these are very well balanced. The Founders stout only comes out only in January and February every year. Love them both and will have to have a blind tasting soon.

Ballast Point: Victory at Sea. Excellent porter. I am becoming a huge fan of this brewery, everything I have tried has been exceptional.

Just enjoyed a pre-dinner Hobgoblin.



Please excuse the frothy head. I was a little overkeen to start, but it still tasted great (even without a perfectly smooth head).
