This was taken about 1986. I was in Yuma, AZ and we had these little owls that live in holes in the ground created by other animals. I was walking across a vacant lot and spotted a little guy on the roof of the building next door. I had the camera to my eye trying to get close enough for a good picture. As I took the shot, I noticed the owl fly off.

I had no idea the other bird (I think it's a mocking bird) was going after the owl. So - when I developed the film I got the shock of my lifetime - but happy

Great shots gentlemen. Not the best shot but I managed to take this one of a Greater Striped Swallow (Cecropis cucullata) in the Central Drakensberg, KZN, South Africa earlier this month.

it was a cold morning at the wetland today, way down into the 40's!
