I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a place online that sells metal straps for shoes? More specifically ones that would fit as replacements for the Allen Edmonds Firenze loafers. I had a pair come apart in the middle joint and when I tried to fix it, I ended up breaking it more. These are also from a discount store so I don't think AE would repair that. The shoes are still like new and incredibly comfortable, fixing them would be really nice.

It doesn't cost anything other than a little time to send AE an email and ask about repair. Seeing as the shoes are otherwise in good shape, it sounds as if it would be nice to have them back to almost new.
Not sure where you live but in Sacramento there was a shoe repair guy that rebuilt the AE shoes at a reasonable price. He used factory parts.
If they are Allen Edmonds, it doesn't matter where you bought them. They should help you out as long as they are AE branded.
