Just getting ready to head to the hospital to get a plate put in my wrist. I got bucked off one of my horses last Sat. and broke my lt. wrist pretty bad, and poss. the rt. as well. Shaving has presented some challenges, but we are persevering.

Sorry to hear about that. I'll spare you the proverbial horse-related admonition and simply wish you a speedy recovery!

You know, there's never such a thing as a good break where bones are concerned. For what it's worth, I hope it's an easy break to fix. Good luck and I hope you have a fast recovery.
Limecat can never die!!! Unless he gets curious.
Here's to a speedy recovery, I hope it doesn't take to long.
Perhaps you can get one of those pretty nurses to give you a shave...![]()
Danbury Hosp. (when I lived up that way) isn't much better... I was in for dehydration from food poisoning and they kept trying to convince me that I was my grandfather despite the obvious age difference and that we do not have the same first name, nor was I (or am I) a cardiac and oncology patient. Talk about hacks!

I have only heard about Danbury but I experianced Hartford....
Let's just say I'll never go back there unless I am dead...or want to be....![]()
Oh man, if you guys are ever in a life-threatening situation I totally recommend the Regina hospital. The ER nurses suck, but the rest are just fantastic.

"The intrepid Spaceman Spiff is stranded on a distant planet! ..our hero ruefully acknowledges that this happens fairly frequently.."
And I'll just try not to be in Regina and avoid a horrible accident that way.
EDIT: This post dedicated to Rabidpotatochip. Why? Post number 2,112 for me. You figure it out.
Um, for those who didn't get it, including <ahem, cough, choke> the Rabid One: 2112 is a Rush album, Rush is Canada's greatest contribution to Rock, Chip lives in Canada. (Ok, crawling back into my shell now.)

When he was nearlythirteenold,my brother Jemmulepackin got his arm badly broken at theelbowwrist. When it healed, andJem'smulepackin's fears of never being able toplay footballshave again were assuaged, he was seldom self-conscious about his injury.
Here's hoping your arms come out the same length when it's all said and done.(Heal up & feel better soon

mulepackin,
I hope that you'll recover as quickly as possible, and that it didn't turn out that both wrists were broken!
I broke my right wrist quite a while ago. I thought... fortunately, I'm left-handed. I found that it amazing how many things we do right-handed. Or, with the greatest amount of ease anyway.
Another time, I had a hairline fracture in my left arm, near the elbow. That was a problem! Trying to eat soup using my right hand was quite the challenge.
Interestingly enough, when I paint windows, or do any cutting in, it's almost easier if I don't use my dominate hand. So, maybe you'll be lucky, one way or another, and shaving won't be difficult!
Good luck!

Good luck with the surgery, and I hope you heal nicely. Spend time with that horse and forgive him (if you even blamed him in the first place), because you know how much better people feel in the presence of horses, right?![]()
