I use warm/hot water which does a good job when I'm using soap. When I shave with just oil, I use an old toothbrush.

First time using the Old Type this year. I used the thick cap yesterday and it was smoother than the thin cap I used today. I like them both but, I like the thin cap little better. Slightly more efficient but not quite as smooth. It's a real close call.

Nice razor! I always used a Voskhod.

I broke out the Double Ring, this morning, loaded it with a brand new Polsilver SI, and was rewarded with an astoundingly close and smooth shave. Wonderful! My Omega Pro 49 lived up to it's "Pro" designation in applying the Stirling Lavender Sage soap, with some WH and Stirling Bergamot Lavender splash to finish it all up.

10/5/2015 OCtober SOTD. Head Shaves 3, Face Shaves 2

Head only today. Decided to mix it up with the MR3 handle.

Wet towel and Nivea Creme Prep
Route 66 Irish Dan Soap face lathered with Omega S Synthetic
Gillette New Long Comb on MR3 handle with 5 shims and fresh Permasharp Super blade
Shower followed by TendSkin and some Cornhusker's Lotion

SOTD Monday

Keeping with the OCtober theme, I used the flat bottom English New with the Gillette 7 o'clock Sharp Edge blade and what a great shave. Two pass DFS. Clean and smooth. A somewhat mild razor but worked well with a brand new blade. Decided to try the Menthol Super-Max again, just love the peppermint smell. This shave had a bit more of a cooling sensation from the lather than my last try. Very happy!

An outstanding shave with the Aristocrat today. This is my normal go to razor when I am at home.

An very nice shave with the Senator today. The Senator and Sheraton are a bit lighter than the Aristocrat so provide a slightly different shave. Of course, I use the Aristocrat 300+ times a year, so it all boils down to what you are used to.

Nice setup. My two Goodwill's are different from yours, but are favourites. My shave today with one was superb.
