Welcome to the B&B Shaving Creams Scent Guide. We all know what a rose, lime, or coconut smell like. This guide is for those shaving creams with exotic names, cologne based scents, or adaptations of common scents. Where possible, I've included the manufacturers descriptions/basenotes and B&B User Reviews, to help you understand what a scent will smell like, YMMV! This list is a work in progress and you're welcome to send me a PM with any suggestions.

Arlington, a blend of Citrus & fern:
Arlington is described as citrus and fern. Though I hear that fern is, in reality, odorless, the description seems fitting. It is a light cologne-style scent that would probably suit most men. AFAIK, it is their best selling fragrance, so that should say something.

Truefitt & Hill:

1805:
1805 was originally derived from a formulation known as the “Palmerston Bouquet” which dated back to the late 1850s. Fresh and oceanic, 1805 has top notes of bergamot, mandarin and cardamom, combined with a lavender, geranium and clary sage heart resting on a sandalwood, cedarwood and musk base.

Grafton:
This classical, woody fragrance with spicy oriental notes was named to commemorate a long line of HMS Grafton Battleships. The name “Grafton” was given to Truefitts’ newly blended fragrance in 1983 at the suggestion of one of HMS Grafton’s officers, who while being attended to by a Truefitts’ barber, particularly liked this unmistakably masculine aroma and suggested that the new fragrance be named after the gracious line of HMS battleships. A sophisticated fragrance for men of distinction that has top notes of Lavender, Lemon and Basil, a heart of Wood, Cedar, Incense and Rose and a base of Patchouli, Sandal, Tonka, Amber, Musk.

It's a fragrance which truly captures the spirit of old Granada and Castille.

Trafalgar:
Trafalgar owes its name to one of the most celebrated naval engagements in European history - the battle of Trafalgar. This famous maritime confrontation took place off Cape Trafalgar, on the southern coast of Spain, on 21st October 1805, the very year in which William Francis Truefitt established his business. Trafalgar reveals its distinguished heritage with top notes of Cedar and Sandalwood complimented by subtle base notes of Jasmine, Spice musk and Vetiver.
