Rain Gauge

I buy the cheap plastic ones, close enough for my needs. Every other year I forget to put them in before they freeze and crack, requiring some super glue, but they serve the purpose. With the new(?) network of Private Weather Stations around not even sure I need one anymore .. it's just for lawn watering purposes here.

For example, here's a PWS in southwest Austin .. http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KTXAUSTI473#history that will show rainfall by the hour, day, month ..

I get all the meteorological data I need from my Weatherbug Elite app.

Its one of very few apps where I've paid for the Pro version.
I think I paid $5 for it many years and about 3 phones ago, and I've installed it on every device since then.

It is fast, accurate, and gives me the info that I need when I need it.

Nowadays, Weatherbug has switched business models from a one-time $5 fee to a monthly subscription, but if you need to keep up with weather conditions, Weatherbug is the best there is.

I've had one of these for quite a few years, the reset button no longer resets so now it just shows a running total for the time it's been set up, to date 11.6".

Thanks! It's a pretty small space and we've been playing with it for 25 years. A work in progress with small changes/additions each year. To be able to have a vegetable garden was my major impetus to put apartment behind us so that's where we started.

Thanks again!
