Found a Gem Damaskeene

Got this as part of a lot. 3 Gems, all from different eras. Whoever owned them before me was a Gem man.

Mine says "Gem Cutlery Co." on back and has the solder dot on the tension spring. So that would place it between 1915 and 1919.



Going to take this old boy for a test drive on sunday morning.

It was rougher than I imagined. Still near impossible to get under my nose. And my chin was covered with weepers. Neck line was tough but I think I had the wrong angle. Its hard shaving with a DE for 25 years and trying something new (old!) for the first time. I'm taking a break from my SE's for the moment while Rust Boy and I get to know each other. So far, Rust Boy is the best razor I've ever owned.
