Strop between passes?

If you razor won't shave smoothly through a three pass shave without stropping, it needs to be honed. I can't imagine stropping in the middle of a shave. JMHO
I don't see why this would be necessary. If anything I would think it just increases opportunities to unnecessarily handle (and drop) a wet razor.
I have done so only right before i go ATG on my head. But before I'll do a WTG and ATG on my face and WTG or XTG on my head. Shaving the head is really abusive on a blade. but other than that I agree with the above statements.
Never tried it but for me I get a super shave just stropping pre/post shave.

Are you having trouble getting through a shave or just curious? It's not going to hurt anything, but its not necessary.

What I think about it depends on the 'why'.
For fun - whatever, sure - go for it.
To get through the shave - the blade needs to be honed.
After testing a barber hone or a pasted linen during mid-shave - almost a given.. gotta do it.
I'm sure there are other possibilities - but those are the only three that come to mind.
