Started wet shaving back in February after 20 yrs with a Goatee and @30 yrs with a stache. Learned a great deal from B&B wiki and now the forums. As I can certainly relate to some of the other newbie problems, I also can see that the learning curve was definitely shortened. Also have to say that I really appreciate that everyone understands YMMV.
So with all the help:
The first purchase was the Semogue 1470, love it and WCS for replacing it without question when the knot came loose.
Have been through many brands of blades as y'all suggested and think I've narrowed down some favorites. Polsilver and silver blues seem to work best with my Diplomat and the Wilkinsons work very nicely with my 40s Super Speed.
The Razors including a Super Speed blue tip all came free as I help out a friend that does estate clean outs, it was B&B that gave me the info needed to ID them.
