Irish whiskey

Up till my recent trip to Ireland, the only Irish whiskeys I tried were Jameson (original, black, 12) and Bushmills. It was a lot of fun to try other blends and single malts. Some tastes to me rather harsh such as Powers, others were a bit "over-priced." Particularly enjoin the Green Dot and Red Breast 12. Even brought a bottle of Green Dot home. The price at the airport was ridiculously low.

So, what are your favorite Irish malts?

I think I need to visit Shannon airport! We do really want to go back to Ireland, but from here it's easier to just take the car over on the ferry.

I'm more of a Scotch (sacrilege, given my Irish blood), burns have a colleague that swears by Redbreast no have yet to try it. I do have to say, Jameson Black is leaps and bounds better than the standard stuff.

Redbreast 12 is in already in my liquor cabinet. I recently found Green Spot at a specialty store and may add it to my stash. If it's close in quality to Redbreast 12, it definitely needs to be added to my collection.
