Scale restoration

Bought a W&B off the bay and the seller stated this in the description "The scales are blonde horn with beautiful ornate carvings that would make a great color filling project for anyone who knows how to do it".



Any one you guys would recommend? Or should I just leave them the way they are? So far I've had no issues with them the blade closes centered and they feel solid but a nice make over wouldn't hurt

I'd leave it alone. In the third picture I see what appears to be a crack that runs through the pivot pin area. If that is holding strong right now I'd leave it alone, once taken apart end of story IMHO.

Leave it. If anything give it a wipe down with neatsfoot oil to condition the scales.

I don't know how much you want to invest in scale restoration, but member mycarver does some impressive work.

Beautiful blade and very cool scales. I would leave as is, but that's just me.
