Mixing

When making the mix, does it matter if you use a shaving mug/bowl or do it in your hand?

I dosnt really matter, but most (if not all) method shavers mix in their hand. It is just easier to hold the cube or round in your hand and scrub away at it, drop some paste in and then finish the mix in your hand. Then the remaining amount in your hand can be used to reapply and stretch the mix.

I use a bowl for standard soaps but my hand for method shaving. I find I over aerate the mix in a bowl and it is the wrong consistency and doesn't hold up through the shave.
