That's what I've read. It seems to have morphed into mental health awareness as well.

I can't say whether such a campaign will increase genuine awareness, but where our treasure is; so is our heart.

Nobody even knows how to correctly use a semicolon when writing. How is it going to raise any awareness of anything if nobody even knows what it is for?

I find it a powerful symbol/metaphor.

It symbolizes things left unsaid. It possesses a highly powerful meaning. A friend of mine and her family all just got one in honour of her recently late brother's self-chosen passing from this life.

I thought an elipses was for things left unsaid?

A semicolon is for a more major division in a sentence when a number of things come afterwards (such as a list of things) than a regular coma ?
