Default Is is a penguin? Is it a turtle? No, it's RichGem at 2k!

Ok, I apologize if there's another thread, but I've been saving that line for weeks. Anyway, congratulations RichGem on making it to 2k. You're catching up buddy.

I dare say the last 500 posts have actually been about nothing, but apparently that still counts for something.

    Congrats!

Though I was pretty sure it was a turtle all along... Now I have to rethink everything....

Well, if experience is any indication, asking for one is a bad idea.

Too true. Please read the above then as a rhetorical/hypothetical while I duck and cover.

Have you seen the new verse to your theme song yet?

    Here, I'll try to help...

Oh great and powerful mods, I hereby request that RichGem retain his reptilian title for eternity.

I haven't seen it yet. I don't remember which thread it's in and I have literally about 300 e-mails to go through.

There's a Dutch expression for that kind of help, I'll try my best to translate it: "from the road to the ditch". Actually it's "from the dike to the canal", but I think this makes for a better translation.

    Try the "kilted brethren" thread

I think its reverse psychology. Unfortunately, I doubt that'll help either.

C'mon, play along! It's all about mod psychology -- we know that asking for a title results in the opposite effect. The trick is, I figure that your 2000+ posts trump my 300+ posts, meaning that, in the case of clearly opposite requests, the mods are more likely to turn down my request as there's less forum post experience behind it.

In fact, perhaps other forum members with post counts lower than yours can add their requests here (while congratulating RichGem for his many helpful posts), thereby placing the mods in a true pickle, as they'd be faced with turning down the requests of the minimally-posted masses, or of only one person:

    Congrats Rich.

Chip, seems like every thread you start gets you a new, crappier title. Perhaps this one will get rid of your ever-pleasant "Summer Breeze" monicker.

....then again, the mods may see your real intent and etch this title in stone

Baaaaaaad Idea.....the mods don't like being put in pickles, especially true ones. They prefer non-masticable ones....
