What is this stone?

I found this at an antique shop along with a bunch of straight razors. The stone had no handle, so I glued it to the back of another paddle hone with rubber cement. Does anyone know what kind of stone this is? I know it is a finishing stone of some kind, but I have no idea what type. It was just labeled as "razor hone".

Blurry picture, I know. My cell camera is on its way out.

You should have lapped it first. Also, you need a much clearer photo to even get the most basic idea.

Ahh okay. I'll get out my real camera and take a better pic or two. I'll lap it later on, but to get all the bumps and bruises out will be some work.

Just an update. I am almost certain it is a Yellow Lake Stone, Llyn Melynllyn.

Still working with the slowly dying camera of a first gen HTC one. It gives everything an overexposed look. Stone is purplish/bluish with a light purple slurry.
