Ideal Size for Face Lathering with Plisson Brushes ?

Aloha !
What's your ideal size (using Plisson's #'s) for face lathering with Plisson brushes with their following types of hair :
HMW
European White
European Grey
Russian Grey
Black

To be honest, i doubt youd find many people with plissons or all variations.

For me, i have a 12 and 16 plexi. And i use both to face lather.

AFAIK , Plisson sizes are 8,10,12,14,16,18,&20
I've never seen an 11 ; is that a Vintage ?

I started with an 8 Russian Gray , then the 12 synth .
Added a 10 European Gray , and a 12 black .
I think size 10 is ideal , and will probably order another black in 10 .
And a European White , also in 10 .

uh , it may in fact be 12 , still not sure ...

I think the 11 was just rv calling out a number. I face lather with a 16 and 12 iirc. I like the 16 better but my tastes run to larger knots compared to most

I've used 12, 16 and 20. 16 is my favorite but they all work, just depends on what size knot you prefer.

although it seems that different types of badger of the same technical size are not the same real world size .

by the way , Plisson website just raised their prices !
